The Danish Prime Minister, the Danish Minister of Climate, Energy and Building and the Danish Minister of the Environment will visit China from 9-12 September to participate in the World Economic Forum in Tianjin.

The Danish Prime Minister and the Minister of Climate, Energy and Building will be travelling to China from 9-12 September together with the Minister of the Environment to participate in the World Economic Forum, which is held in Tianjin from 10-12 September. The ministers will be joined by a delegation of CEOs from Danish businesses.

The Minister of Climate, Energy and Building will also meet with his Chinese counterparts on the Sino-Danish energy cooperation to discuss the bilateral cooperation as well as upcoming projects. One major focus area is the use of renewable energy and how China can undergo a low carbon transition to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and at the same time maintain high economic growth. The Minister will also have the opportunity to make a site visit to Danish technology manufactures that supply the Chinese market with technologies to produce renewable energy and components to increase energy efficiency. 

Workshop on excess heating

The Danish Energy Agency will host a seminar together with the Chinese National Energy Conservation Centre (NECC), pertaining to the utilization of excess heat from industrial processes for district heating purposes. The workshop will take place in Beijing on Friday 12 September and will be concluded with a tentative site visit possibly in Beijing on Saturday 13 September. The Danish Energy Agency invites Danish companies to participate in the two-day workshop, which will comprise a series of presentations on the topic, seen from both the regulator’s and the a business point of view. There will be opportunities to network with Danish and Chinese companies in the sector.
