The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) attended the first steering committee meeting of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Centre (UDEC) on the 17th September in Kiev. The main purpose of the meeting was to initiate the implementation phase for the cooperation on UDEC between Denmark and Ukraine.

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) is sharing Danish experiences on integrating renewable energy into the power system, with its emerging partner economies. In China several years of cooperation has shown remarkable results. Now a similar cooperation has been initiated in Vietnam.
Germany and Denmark are both pursuing an ambitious energy transition. This fosters a strong Danish-German collaboration on energy matters between authorities, companies and researchers. Collaboration is now taking shape between authorities and companies in North Rhine-Westphalia and Denmark.
A workshop for Ukrainian and Danish participants, with focus on data in relation to the energy balance in Ukraine was hosted by the Danish Energy Agency on August 17, 2015. The visit is part of the inception phase of the Ukrainian-Danish energy cooperation, which supports Ukraine in strengthening energy planning and policy.
2 July, the first Management Committee Meeting under the CIFF composition (CNREC, CIFF, NREL and DEA) was held at CNREC’s premises in Beijing. The meeting covered the main priorities for next year’s work programme including the upcoming Policy Suggestion Report in the autumn, which will serve as input to the next - and 13th - five-year plan in China.
