About our organization

The Danish Energy Agency is responsible for tasks linked to energy production, supply and consumption, as well as Danish efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Our organization

The Danish Energy Agency was established in 1976 and is today part of the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. We have approximately 800 employees at our two locations in Esbjerg and Copenhagen. Our task is to create the framework for the political ambitions of green transition, secure energy supply and affordable energy.
