Lighthouse of Danish-Indonesian Island-cooperation has great potential for renewable energy
Two recent analyses show that both solar, wind and biomass are competitive technologies on the island Lombok, in Indonesia. Furthermore it is shown that integrating 60% renewable energy into Lombok’s power grid, by 2030, is a cost-efficient initiative. These analyses are a result of the Danish-Indonesian energy cooperation.
Denmark and Indonesia collaborate on developing sustainable islands
Today the Danish-Indonesian island cooperation presented two analyses to support the low carbon transition in Lombok. The analyses suggest that a renewable energy share close to 60 % in the power system can be cost-efficient solution by 2030.

Technology neutral tender 2018 determined
The technology neutral tender round for 2018 has now been determined and has resulted in a record low level of aid to onshore wind turbines and solar PV. The budget for the tender round was DKK 254 million (2018 prices).
Energy Statistics 2017: Higher renewable energy contribution
Energy consumption increased slightly in 2017. This covers a dramatic fall in coal consumption and increasing consumption of renewable energy. Overall, this led to a considerable drop in CO2 emissions last year. These are some of the results in the Energy Statistics 2017, which were published by the Danish Energy Agency today. Call for bids in the technology neutral tender scheme 2018
Today, the Danish Energy Agency has opened a tendering scheme concerning a price premium for onshore wind, solar PV and open-door offshore wind. The deadline for bids is November 26 2018.
