The Danish Energy Agency will conduct tenders of price premiums for electricity from wind and solar PV in 2018-2019. The total budget of the tenders is DKK 1.015 billion. The Danish Energy Agency invites comments and questions on the draft conditions for the tender in 2018.

Balmorel Lite Update: New web interface and additional functionalities

In April 2017, the Danish Energy Agency has launched Balmorel Lite, a web based energy model useful to assess the value of renewable energy into different electricity systems. This model has been developed by EA Energy Analyses for the Danish Energy Agency to be used by the partner countries in our GtG cooperation.

Danes used more energy and renewables in 2016

Lower electricity imports and less windy conditions for wind turbines resulted in increased energy consumption and increased observed CO2 emissions in 2016. As power plants in particular also used more biomass, consumption of renewable energy increased, raising the share of renewable energy to 31.3%.
