China: The CIFF program releases three articles on Power System Flexibility

5. October 2015

Read the series of three articles about Danish experiences with, and China’s potential, with power system and power plant flexibility. The articles are based on the soon-to-be published report ‘Flexibility in the power system’.

As part of the Danish Energy Agency's (DEA) cooperation with CNREC and participation in the program “Boosting renewable energy as part of China’s energy system revolution”, DEA has in a joint effort with Energinet.dk and the Danish consultancy company, Added Values, produced a comprehensive report “Flexibility in the power system“. The report, which is currently being finalized, covers the historic and future development of flexibility in thermal power plants in Denmark and presents an initial, but important tentative assessment on the potential technical scope for increased flexibility at the Chinese power plants.

The report is set to be published 12 October on the website boost.re.cnrec.org.cn under ‘Power System Flexibility’.
