China: New website tells about the Danish-Chinese cooperation
The Danish Energy Agency launches a website about the Danish-Chinese cooperation on climate, energy and building
In connection with the Chinese president’s visit to Denmark, starting today, the Danish Energy Agency launches a special website about the Danish-Chinese cooperation on climate, energy and building.
This Saturday the Danish minister for Climate, Energy and Building Martin Lidegaard will sign three memorandums of understandings:
- Agreement with National Energy Administration which strengthens the Danish-Chinese cooperation on encouragement of renewable energy; the agreement confirms an increasing Chinese demand for Danish experiences in the field of renewable energy.
- Agreement with Ministry of Science and Technology which will encourage Danish-Chinese partnerships within research and development in relation to renewable energy, energy efficiency and smart grids including studying the possibilities for establishing a joint innovation centre.
- Agreement with Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development which strengthens the cooperation between China and Denmark regarding low-energy building, including development and promotion of energy efficiency, sustainable building and energy efficient building materials.
Among other the memorandums of understandings add to the already well-established cooperation between the Danish Energy Agency and the new China National Renewable Energy Centre (CNREC) that was launched February this year.
