South Africa: Presentation of the Renewable Energy Programme in South Africa
The Renewable Energy Programme in South Africa 2013 – 2015, supported by the Government of Denmark, was presented in Cape Town at the seminar “Doing business in South Africa within the wind sector”
On September 23, 2013 The Danish Embassy in South Africa hosted a seminar in cooperation with Vestas under the theme “Doing business in South Africa within the wind sector”. The seminar was a part of the largest wind energy event in South Africa, the WINDaba in Cape Town. The aim of the seminar was to set a framework and enable South Africa as a market for renewable energy. Representatives from relevant ministries and departments were invited to present challenges and opportunities within the wind sector. The LCTU was represented by Steffen Nielsen who presented the energy cooperation between Denmark and South Africa. See the presentation here
