Update of the Danish Energy Agency’s five-year forecast of Danish oil and gas production

1. December 2010

The Danish Energy Agency has updated the five-year forecast for production of oil and natural gas, investments and costs for exploration, operation and transportation of oil and gas in the annual report (link).

For 2010 production is expected to total 14.2 million m3 of oil and 7.0 billion Nm3 of natural gas. Compared to the annual report the expected oil production for 2010 is written up 6 per cent, mainly caused by a shorter shutdown period for maintenance for the main part of the fields than anticipated for the estimate in the annual report. Compared to the annual report the expected production of natural gas for 2010 has not been changed.

For the period 2011 to 2014 minor revisions have been made compared to the annual report, and total estimated production for oil and natural gas for this period has been written down just under 1 and 2 per cent respectively compared with the annual report.
