Vietnam: First project steering committee meeting on the Low Carbon Transition project in the energy sector in Vietnam was held 17th June, 2013 in Hanoi

The LCTU participated in the first Project Steering Committee meeting on the energy sector program in Vietnam which was successfully held on June 17th. The meeting was co-chaired by vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam Mr. Le Duong Quang and the Danish Ambassador Mr. John Nielsen. The steering committee agreed on the workplans for the two project components: Energy efficiency in small and medium scale industries and buildings as well as key recommendations in the inception report. Minister Quang thanked for the Danish support to the project and looked forward to a successful start-up and implementation of the energy sector program.
