Report presenting good practices in developing countries’ baseline development serves as support for developing countries to secure transparency in baseline development.

China holds a great potential for attaining energy savings by implementing energy efficiency measures. The country has already significally improved its energy efficiency over the last decades, but there is still great potential for further improvements. The Chinese aims and Danish experiences complement each other.

At the 4th Steering Committee meeting in April between China National Renewable Energy Center and the Danish Energy Agency, the ongoing work of the cooperation was discussed.

Green energy transformation and sustainable urbanization is one of the main focus areas of the trip.

On Monday March 31 and Tuesday April 1 the Danish Energy Agency and China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development organized two seminar meetings to promote Sino-Danish cooperation on sustainable retrofit demonstration projects.

Exchange of knowledge and capacity building continues to be an important part of the Sino-Danish cooperation on renewable energy and energy efficiency. One way to secure the transferring of knowledge is through ongoing dialogue. Thus, The Danish Energy Agency headed a Renewable Energy Seminar recently hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing.

A delegation headed by Deputy Director General Shi Lishan from the Chinese National Energy Administration visits Denmark during 14-16 April 2014. The delegation is scheduled to go to Samsø and Østerild.

Participants in two Sino-Danish development and demonstration projects have obtained commitment for support from both Denmark and China. Both projects focus on renewable energy and contribute to establishing a platform for the Danish energy industry in China.
