The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and their Chinese partner National Energy Conservation Center (NECC) have held the first targeted workshop on heat planning in Beijing, China.

The Ukrainian Minister of Energy, Ihor Nasalyk, is currently in Denmark in order to mark the valuable results of the Danish and Ukrainian governments’ collaboration on energy. The minister brought a delegation comprising of deputy chairman of the parliament’s energy committee, the chairman of the Ukrainian wind turbine association as well as public servants and mayors from chosen Ukrainian cities.

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) publishes the publication ‘Danish Energy Partnership programme’ on Denmarks global energy cooperation. The new publication mediates the tool kit that Denmark makes use of in partner countries as well at it shows the potentials and results from existing agreements.

The finest experts on heat planning in China and Denmark are working together in an expert panel created as a part of the Sino-Danish pilot project on energy efficient district heating. The panel held the first meeting this week.

Consumption of renewable energy increased by almost 11%, while coal consumption fell by 21% in 2017. Overall, this led to a large drop in energy-related CO2 emissions. This appears by the Danish Energy Agency’s preliminary energy statistics for 2017, which also show that Denmark's degree of self-sufficiency increased last year.

The new endeavor will create a sustainable energy “roadmap” for the City of Pittsburgh.

The Danish Energy Agency is assisting Chinese developers and the Chinese government in their efforts to create a viable offshore wind industry, transferring Denmark’s more than 30-year experience from offshore wind developments. The Quality Offshore project which has China’s National Energy Administration as its main partner last week held a successful workshop in Beijing.

With the launch of the Wind Project Development Roadmap report Ethiopia and Denmark are joining forces for large scale expansion of wind energy in East Africa. Experts from both countries have been sharing experiences with leading international experts to produce this guideline to successful development of wind projects in Ethiopia.

The Danish Energy Agency invites for a market dialogue on a tender of price premiums for electricity from solar PV with an installed capacity of less than 1 MW. The tender is expected to be held in 2018.
