The China National Energy Conservation Center and the Danish Energy Agency signed an implementing agreement of a Sino-Danish pilot project on district heating and energy efficiency improvement in Beijing.

A delegation from the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) headed by Mr. Anton Beck, Head of Division for Global Cooperation, and Dr Engineer Sileshi Bekele Minister of Water, Irrigation and Electricity of Ethiopia (MOWIE) have officially signed the Implementation Partnership Arrangement, which covers Government-to-Government Cooperation on wind power.

The bilateral country cooperation between Indonesia and Denmark achieved another milestone as DEA and the Danish Embassy in Jakarta, assisted the Indonesian "National Energy Council" (NEC) with their future energy modeling and launched the “Energy Outlook 2016” today.

An Indonesian delegation is visiting Denmark to learn how to meet the rapidly growing energy demand by utilising the potential of renewable energy.

The contracts were concluded on the 27th of december at the Danish Energy Agency as a result of the first Danish tender of aid for electricity generated at solar PV installations.

The winning tenders in the pilot tender of aid for solar PV conducted by the Danish Energy Agency were for a premium of only 12.89 Danish øre per kWh. This result testifies that electricity from solar PV in Denmark can now compete with the cheapest sources of renewable energy.

Denmark and the Danish Energy Agency contributes to sustainable energy expansion in Ethiopia by signing of cooperation agreement on wind energy

Higher electricity imports and much higher wind power generation led to a large drop in consumption of coal and other fossil fuels at power plants in 2015. This in turn meant that observed CO2 emissions fell by 6.6% in 2015, and that renewable energy now covers 56% of electricity consumption. These are headlines from Energy Statistics 2015, which were published by the Danish Energy Agency today.

Indonesia makes use of Denmark’s experience in integrating fluctuating sources of renewable energy in the power grid. Last week, the Danish Embassy, Jakarta, and the Danish Energy Agency organised a workshop specifically targeting the integration of wind power.

The Danish Energy Agency calls for tenders from businesses and private individuals regarding aid for 20 MW solar PV. A part of the tender is cross-border as 2.4 MW will be open to solar PV projects located in Germany. At the same time Germany conducts a tender on support for 50 MW solar PV, which is also open to installations in Denmark.
