Publication of results from the preliminary site investigations – Artificial island North Sea

The work with the Plan for Programme North Sea Energy Island and the following strategic environmental assessment (SEA) has been paused. This is because of the government decision from the 28. June 2023, to postpone the tender and the subsequent analysis to identify better or more cost-effective solutions for the North Sea Energy Island – for more information please read: The concept of Energy Island North Sea will be examined thoroughly.

The ongoing preliminary surveys (geoscience, metocean and environmental surveys) will be completed and published in June 2024.

In relation to the tendering of the offshore windfarms of the Energy Island North Sea, a range of preliminary investigations and environmental assessments are being carried out.

Results in the form of reports and data from the completed investigations can be accessed directly here at this site (reports) and through access to a FTP site (data), which is maintained by Energinet. All results from the preliminary investigations etc. are targeted potential bidders for the offshore windfarms of the Energy Island North Sea.

Access to the data platforms is temporarily closed. It will appear on the webpage when the data platforms are open for access again.

Access to Energinet's FTP site

Access to Energinet’s FTP site is obtained in the following way:

Step 1: Send the request to FTPenergyislands@ens.dk, and include the following information:

Applicant name (company name or name of the consortium)

Applicant’s contact person, (name)

Applicant’s contact person, (email)

Applicant’s contact person, (telephone number)

Step 2: Energinet will thus send instructions to the applicant on access to the FTP server with username and password.

The FTP website will be updated in accordance with the plan mentioned in the table below. Reports, which are related to the environment and other reports, which do not require FTP server, will be posted on this page.

We aim to process requests within 14 days, bank holidays and holiday excluded.
