Technical dialogue on site-investigations for Thor offshore wind farm
The Danish Energy Agency hosts a technical dialogue on site-investigations with potential developers and relevant experts related to the Thor offshore wind farm tender on 13th May 2019.
The Danish Energy Agency and Energinet (the Danish TSO) invite potential developers and relevant experts to participate in a technical dialogue on site-investigations for the Thor tender. The Thor offshore wind farm is the first of three new offshore wind farms to be built before 2030 in line with the Energy Agreement of 2018. The tender process for Thor is to be completed will final bids in 2021, and the construction of the wind farm is scheduled for 2024-2027.
Aim of the technical dialogue
The technical dialogue will focus on the scope and depth of the planned site-investigations, where interested developers and technical experts are invited to provide feedback on the proposed methodologies and expected products. A market dialogue with potential developers on other aspects of the Thor tender (time table, tender conditions, prequalification, negotiation and bid process, etc.) will be held in October 2019.
The technical dialogue on site-investigations will be based on presentations from the Danish Energy Agency and Energinet with a focus on:
- Geophysical surveys
- Cable surveys
- Geotechnical investigations
- Studies for UXO and archaeology
- MetOcean studies
- Environmental assessments and relevant surveys
The results of the technical dialogue will be posted at the website for the Thor tender once completed.

The venue is only one stop from Copenhagen Airport with the metro located at the first floor in Terminal 3 followed by a short walk from Kastrup metro station to the aquarium.

Due to the limitation of seats available, relevant stakeholders will be prioritized and preregistration is necessary.
