The Danish Energy Agency calls for bids in the upcoming technology neutral tender scheme
Today, the Danish Energy Agency has opened the technology neutral tender of aid for electricity generated by onshore wind turbines, open door offshore wind turbines, wave power plants, hydroelectric power plants and solar PV installations. The deadline for bids is 22 October 2021. All tender material and question/answers during the tendering period can be found at the tender portal

Updated draft of tender conditions, draft of contract and tentative time schedule for the technology neutral tender 2021
A single technology neutral tender will be held in 2021 combining the allocated funds for 2020 and 2021. The technology neutral tender in 2021 will have an overall cap of DKK 1.2 billion (2020 prices) on aid payments from the state to the winning tenderer(s) and a capacity limit of approx. 428 MW (onshore wind equivalent).
It is expected that the call for bids in the forthcoming technology neutral tender will be announced on 23 august 2021 with a deadline for bids on 22 October 2021. Please note, that the time schedule is not final, and can therefore be subject to change. Once bids are called for, the final tender material can be found at the tender portal together with and any questions asked during the tendering period and answers to these from the Danish Energy Agency.

Invitation to comment on draft conditions of the technology neutral tender in 2020
The Danish Energy Agency invites interested parties to submit written comments and questions regarding the draft conditions of the tender for the technology neutral tender in 2020.

The tender has now been decided upon
The Danish Energy Agency has received in total 7 bids with projects of 135 MW onshore wind turbines and 136 MW solar PV installations (DC capacity). In total, it is expected that 7 contracts will be signed including 2 contracts with 72 MW onshore turbines, 2 contracts with 97 MW onshore turbines and solar PV installations and 3 contracts with 83 MW solar PV installations. This corresponds to 181 MW onshore wind equivalents or the electricity consumption of approx. 154,000 Danish households. The weighted average price premium of the winning bids is 1.54 øre per kWh or approx. 0.21 Eurocent per kWh.

Invitation to comment on a Danish technology neutral tender for wind and solar PV in 2019
The Danish Energy Agency (the DEA) invites comments and questions on the draft conditions for the technology neutral tender of price premiums for electricity from wind and solar PV in 2019.

Two minor changes have been made to the draft conditions 2019 compared to the draft conditions 2018. The changes are marked with track changes.
The final conditions for the tendering procedure combined with the related documents (contract template, template for bids etc.) will make up the final tender documents which will apply when the tender is launched.
Comments and questions to the draft conditions for the tender should be sent to Sobia Waheed (sow@ens.dk) and vindogsoludbud@ens.dk by no later than Wednesday 19 June 2019 at 10 a.m.

The tender has now been decided upon
The Danish Energy Agency has received in total 17 bids with projects of approx. 260 MW onshore wind turbines and approx. 280 MW solar PV installations. In total it is expected that 6 contracts will be concluded including 3 contracts with approx. 165 MW onshore turbines and 3 contracts with approx. 104 MW solar PV installations. This corresponds to approx. 200 MW onshore wind equivalents or the electricity consumption on approx. 160,000 Danish households. The weighted average price premium of the winning bids is 2.28 øre per kWh or approx. 0.31 Eurocent per kWh.

The Danish Energy Agency calls for bids in the technology neutral tender scheme 2018
Today, the Danish Energy Agency has opened the tender scheme concerning a price premium for onshore wind, solar PV and open-door offshore wind. The deadline for bids is November 26 2018. All tender material and question/answers during the tendering period can be found at the tender portal.
Practical guide to the tender portal: Once at the tender portal, you have to click the button saying “Opret ny bruger” meaning create new user. Once logged in, all the tender documents are available by clicking the tab saying “ Offentligt udbudsmateriale”, meaning public tender material.

Tentative time frame for the technology neutral tenders
It is expected that the call for bids for the first technology neutral tender will be announced in September 2018 with deadline for bids in November 2018. It is expected that the tender budget in 2018 will be DKK 250 million (2017 prices) in 2018 and DKK 579 million (2017 prices) in 2019.
Please note, that time frames and tender budgets are not final, and therefore subject to change. The time frame for the technology neutral tender in 2019 is not yet specified.
